My Resume

Hi there! I do affordable electrical engineering work.

My name is Sierra and I’m an electrical engineer. My degree is a BS in EE with an emphasis in control loop design. I have extensive experience in power electronics design, RF/microwave circuit design, analog circuit design, PCB layout, and EMC compliance.

Me I’ve been in this field for about 17 years. I’m based in the US and am a native English speaker. I meet with clients on Google Meet and Zoom primarily and can voice and video chat with you as needed. I’m happy to design parts of a product for you, do prototyping to test out the feasibility of an idea, or just discuss how to solve a problem you encountered with your project.

I collect electronics test equipment and also have machine shop facilities with a lathe and CNC milling machine for mechanical prototypes. I also own a 4K Resin printer for making high quality plastic-like parts.

ABOUT ME

AFFORDABLE POWER ELECTRONICS, EMC, AND RF ENGINEERING

Engineering has always been a hobby for me first and formost before it became my career so my enthusiasm is high. I don't just view this as a job - it's a great passion of mine. I’d be happy to hear what you’ve got regardless of the project. I’ll let you know if I’m interested with no obligation. Most of what I do for fun is mechanical and electrical engineering work but I often start new projects before I finish existing ones. Having clients to do consulting work for helps keep me on track with deliverables and deadlines (which I’ll try my best to meet) while also allowing me to make a little money to finance my own projects.

I’ve been interested in engineering since age 7 or so. I started building simple circuits on breadboards around that age. My interest continued into high school where I entered several regional science competitions and was fortunate enough to eventually place in ISEF – the Intel Science and Engineering Fair. I decided to attend engineering school and chose to study electrical engineering due to my passion for design and creation. While in school I was offered an internship at a local engineering company that does mainly RF and microwave design. I worked for them for 10 years before deciding to open my own consulting business. In my personal time and as a consultant I have worked on a variety of both power electronics engineering projects as well as RF projects. I eat, sleep, and breathe this stuff and have since around age 12.
